The Last Survivors by  T.W. Piperbrooks & Bobby Adadair
Genre: Horror, Sci-Fi (Dystopian, Zombies), Adventure, Survival

Survival in Man’s Second Dark Age

Three hundred years after the fall of society, the last fragments of civilization are clinging to life, living in the ruins of the ancient cities in nearly-medieval conditions. Technology has been reduced to legend, monsters roam the forests, and fear reigns supreme. But that is just the beginning...

The wind-borne spores are spreading, disfiguring men and twisting their minds, turning them into creatures that threaten to destroy the townships. Among the townsfolk, political and the religious, dissension is spreading.

Through it all, a mother must protect her son...

Cicada Springs by C Galacar
Genre: Mystery

On a warm May evening in the spring of 1979, the people of Heartsridge, Massachusetts, are living the American dream. Families are gathered for barbecues. Kids are playing in front yards. Gardens are being kept. Meanwhile, Kara Price stumbles home through the woods, raped and beaten, her life shattered by a wicked act of violence, perpetrated by one of the town’s most beloved and public figures.
Surrounding Kara is a cast of compelling and nefarious characters—a violent-tempered mayor who can do no wrong in the eyes of the town, a sheriff bound by the rules and plagued by a guilty conscience, a father bent on revenge, a serial killer in the midst of an identity crisis. And at the center of it all there's Kara, who just wants to move on with her life and forget everything that happened to her. But how can she do that when everyone thinks she is a liar who is only out for attention? With plot and emotion braided together by a careful hand, this haunted group of people all acting on behalf of their own interests begs the question: How far would you go to protect your own?

Legacy Code by Autumn Kalquist

Genre: Sci-Fi (Space, Dystopian, Apocalypse), Fantasy, Thriller, Mystery, New Adult, YA

*Note, this is technically the second book in a series, but, ad I have checked, the author says you can read them a=in any order, and this was the one that was on sale for you guys, I downloaded it because it sounds like an interesting book*

Space is a brutal home.

Three hundred years ago, the Earth died, and the last humans fled. Beaten. Broken in more ways than one. Their descendants carry the Legacy Code—mangled genes that force them to abort half their unborn children.

When Era and Dritan Corinth get placements on the safest ship in the fleet and win a chance to have a child, they feel lucky. Until the day Era's supposed to find out if her baby has the Defect, and the ship suffers a hull breach.

An investigation uncovers new threats. Dangerous secrets. Lies. Treason.

Era begins to question everything she’s been taught about the fleet, their search for a new Earth, and the Defect. But the answers she seeks were never meant to be found...

Legacy Code is a suspenseful, dark post-apocalyptic read that has earned five star reviews from fans of books like Hunger Games, Divergent, and Red Rising, and has been compared favorably to Wool, 1984, and the new Battlestar Galactica.

Okay, so I stayed up crazy late trying to get this finished for Sunday morning...AND MY FREAKING BROWSER CRASHES AND WON'T LET ME OPEN THE POST! I was so aggravated, hence why I'm up way too early on a Sunday morning, using my mom's computer (Thanks for that, mom) to insert the images...because that's literally all I had left to insert...Anyway, here ya go, five free books, and reasonably on time, too! Enjoy!
