Book Review: Tangled Web (Lizzie James)

Tangled Web
by: Lizzie James

Genres: Romance, Erotica
**Contains explicit sexual situations**

“Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!”

At the top of London’s ivory towers business is ruled over by the Walker and the Johnson families. There is no competition. No battle. It is all out war.

When Chloe Johnson – the baby of the Johnson family – decides to move back home to London there was one rule: Stay away from Nathan Walker.

One problem with that.

Nathan Walker wants her. Nathan will get her. Nothing will get in his way until Chloe becomes his.

Tangled Web wasn't a horrible book, but it definitely lacked depth. I felt like the opportunity was there to expand, but it seemed as though the content was more of a novel outline and less of a completed book. The characters were well developed, but I kept hoping for more of a back story. I can't help but think that I would have felt more of a connection with the characters if the time was spent on explaining what happened between the Walker & Johnson families. Knowing what severed their relationship, all those years ago, would have made it easier to relate and/or choose side.

This is a cliffhanger. So, there were quite a few things left unresolved.....which I'm not a huge fan. I'm not giving up on Lizzie James, or the Johnson's & Walkers. I'm hopeful that the next book will provide us with everything that this one lacked.
