*Sigh* Sookie, Sookie, Sookie, your fashion sense is still stuck in the eighties. I blame this on the author, who, no doubt, thinks she's writing you up to date. I, myself, did a face-palm when I read about your lipstick matching your red earrings and your red socks with your black work pants.  Questionable fashion aside, I still really enjoy this character. She had some tough times in this book, what, with having no sexual escapades (the first time ever, although it seems like every male in the town is interested in her--must be the red socks), getting shot, and having part of her house burn down. Unfortunately, it was just her back porch and kitchen that burned, so her collection of hair scrunchies were saved. I've also decided that I'm pretty well over the werewolves in this book. Alcide, a character I liked in past books, is kind of a jerk here and the whole head of the pack competition grossed me out. That being said said, I'm happy to read the next in the series.

      This is another one of those books that have been on my list for quite a while. I actually borrowed it from a friend of a friend a few years ago, but I just never go down to reading it...Boy, do I regret that now....
  This book is one of those "Oh my GOD, just get together already!" books. It did have a HUGE plot twist, well, two plot twists, actually, that I honestly wasn't expecting.
  This is positively one of those "Don't put it down until you turn the last page" books, I finished it in just under six hours....who needs sleep, am I right?... and started the second one...then the third one...then the fourth one...
    My favorite thing about this book has to be that the main protagonist is such a witty smart mouth; those are my favorite type of characters.


!Warning! Slight, possible spoilers, but meh.

Can we just talk about Patch for a second?? *fans face* What a total hottie! I like a good, attractive male character as much as anyone else, but Patch is so infuriatingly mysterious, and just *indecipherable noise*. Patch is one of those guys that screams "mysterious bad boy", someone most girls mom's would hate for their daughters to bring home. Not you, right, mom? He falls under the title "Boys That Are Positively Kailei's Type", so I may have  liked him more than some people would.
 
   Okay, back on topic, the book is just a little bit predictable, but that's coming from someone who lives for these kinds of books, and can tell you the ending to almost every book by the second chapter, so don't take my word for it, but I thought it was a little predictable.
   The plot twist completely derailed me, it was CRAZY unexpected!

      I think it's Nora's sarcastic ways that really make me like her. Her and Vee's (her best friend) *finger quotes* detective work made me face-palm and feel embarrassed for them on more than one occasion...

    Overall, this is a really good book, a little crazy, but it has a hot boy, so that's something? The second book is better and worse at the same time, strangely enough it reminded me of when I read Twilight; New Moon, all that time ago, because it stirred up the same feelings that I had while reading that book.

    Anywayysss, before I get carried away, I may do a review on the second book after I finish reading the fourth one...I finished two books yesterday, whoops. I also read the book Rippler, the first book in a series of SEVEN, idk how I keep finding such long series, geez. I read a series of ten (it has a SEQUEL series, yes, a SEQUEL SERIES FOR A SERIES WITH 10 BOOKS, it's crazy!) and I'm debating on whether or not to review those. I still don't have the second Ripple book, but I'm working on it :3

I'm back! I told you i would be! *laughs evilly* You and I are going to see a lot of each other the next few days, I have a LOT of reviews to catch up on.... I'm what they call "a fast reader", a mythical creature only found on the most epic of blogs and libraries! *magically dramatic music plays*. I really do apologize, I was spending way too much time trying to figure out how to work all da stuffs, and I couldn't bare to make myself any blinder by looking at my computer screen a single SECOND longer, let alone long enough to write you guys an amazing review, such as the one below *points down*.
       Onward and forward with all of the reviewing!

The 5th Wave is a book that has been on my book list for nearly two years, you know the list, the one you have in your head and you're all like "Mhm, yes, yes. I shall read this book next, yes." and then you see a different book and forget all about the poor book that just got smothered under the thousands of other sad little books that have been on your book list since the beginning of time.
...Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.

Can I just say, this book's title is slightly misleading, but I was absolutely, one million percent satisfied with the way this book played out. You have no idea how hard it is to review a book, instead of gossiping about it, haha. I honestly wouldn't have read it if I had known that the third one hasn't come out yet...oops.That's what I get for assuming that, just because it was on amazon, with a rather high price, might I add, that it MUST be out already, should have read the fine print that read  those heart-stopping words "pre-order". What an injustice I have brought upon myself.

The only problem I did have with this book, and, I mean, it's really a non-issue, is the swapping of the P.O.V ((point of view)), the author switched it at the most suspenseful times! Something important was going down, and then *BAM* you're in the body of a completely different person ( that is NOT what she said!), in a completely different situation. But, can I just say, the author totally knows what to do with foreshadowing?! He was amazing! He switches the P.O.V just enough to tell us something important, and make you sit on the edge of your seat, possibly biting your nails, waiting for that big twist to pop out, the twist you almost forgot about because you read about it thirty pages ago, but you just know something is going on, that something is wrong, that something totally unexpected, while still expected, is about to happen. I loved every minute of it.

This is for sure one of those "Can't put it down" "I finished this book in a day even though it's reasonably long" books.


And let me just tell you, since I've already finished the second book (I was like an addict, looking  for their next fix, as I sat in my bed at 2am, looking for the second 5th Wave book) that it is so worth the read. No matter how frustrated, or angry you get, no matter the little boring spots, if you can find any, KEEP READING, oh my gosh, it is SO worth it! The second book is better and worse (in a kind-of good way) at the same time.

!WARNING! I may not review the second book. solely because the third book has not come out yet. and it is a rather depressing fact on my part, because I really loved the characters, Every. Single. One of them. Gah, hurry and release the next onee, Rick Yancey!
