Hello everybodyyyyyy!!! Today I will be doing a review on Dark Guardian. So I apologize to the author for this review because it is not exactly positive..... At all.

  So first things first, I couldn't get to the third chapter. It was so bad. It was like reading the script for a soap opera. Now don't get me wrong it has room (a lot actually) for development. I immediately caught on to the plot and what was going on, which for me is bad because I like to be surprised by the plot twist not like "oh yeah. I knew that". The transitions were awful. Almost as if the author didn't know how to properly transition from the topic at hand to a new one; it all just kinda got smushed together and made the book seem poorly written, corny, and like I was at amateur hour at the "I just started writing a book for a hobby cause I was bored and decided to publish it" bar (IJSWABFAHCIWBADTPI Bar, if you will). I read the first line, scoffed, rolled my eyes, and closed out of the book, and I imagine that's what I would've done if I saw it at the book store. Anyway, the way the characters talk to one another doesn't flow, it's so bad and scripted. Like they were puppets, almost. So, I don't recommend this book. I am sorry to the author for giving a negative review, but I feel I need to be honest about the work that gets sent in.

Helloooooooo everyonnnnneeee!!! Today I will be reviewing Capering on Glass Bridges by Jessica Hernandez.  Firstly, I must apologize to the author of this book for not reviewing it soon enough and making her wait. I am very sorry for the wait and I have no excuses for not reviewing it sooner.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I loved the theme, it was magical and made you feel as though you were in the book yourself. I do wish that she had given more explanation to the characters. I didn't know how to picture Kaia or Elania, the only characteristics that were given is how old they were and towards the end of the book that Elania had dark curly hair.  I didn't know if Kaia had brown or black hair, there was no indication as to her eye color or if she was a petite person or tall. It seems silly but it helps to visualize the story. I still am unaware of how old Warrin is compared to Kaia. And speaking of Warrin and Kaia their chemistry din't come into play until the middle of the book and it was rather unexpected. I wish that the author would of given hints as to the dynamic between them but instead I was totally ambushed with it. I also wanted to see a bit more profession in their relationship, they danced and they held hands a few times but that's about it. And I know that this isn't a romance novel but if there is going to be a romance I would've liked to see into it a little more. Kaia seems like a brave, loyal, and courageous girl, but we didn't really get a glimpse into her personality which was kind of a bummer. The same goes for most of the other characters as well. It kind of left the story feeling empty, with no real description of the characters or their personalities. But I did really love this book, I thought it was original and interesting and i adored all of the creatures that came into play. I do hope that there will be a sequel because the author did leave it on a cliffhanger which I suspected from the beginning but didn't know if it was going to follow through. Anyway, I really liked this book and would recommend you read it if you like fantasy/ fiction. Jessica if you have a sequel or any other books please do send them in as I would like to read them too. Helloooooo everyone!! Long time no read, amiright? Sorry about that. I've just moved from overseas and am now slowly settling back into America! But today I am going to do a fairly long review, so I hope that makes up for it!
   Silence is about a 16 year old girl named Oakley who was sexually abused growing up and has been completely silent since she was five. She only really trusts three people in her life, one of which is her best friend Cole. Cole is Oakley's best friend that is only two years older than her. He is  a very sweet and dynamic character, who cares for Oakley and loves her, and she reciprocates those feelings. You'd think it would be hard for them to communicate but Cole understands almost everything she is trying to convey. They've been best friends for their whole life, and as they get older their feelings for one another grow. The only man she really wants to be with is Cole, he and her have such an immense love for one another and it warmed my heart throughout the book. Cole and Oakley switch POVs throughout the book, although it's mostly Oakley that is narrating. I love that about this book because it shows Cole's side of the story, which is very interesting.  Nobody really KNOWS why Oakley is silent except her dad, who, by the way, is a complete ass. He walks around keeping the secret about what happened to Oakley and not to mention he is the reason she is silent. Ugh, I hate the  guy. How he says he loves her? I don't know. As for the mom she has no clue what happened to Oakley, she just thinks it's something medical. Nonetheless, she tries to help Oakley and make her better, which is kinda annoying but what could you expect from a mom? Oakley also has a brother who comes off as a lazy sarcastic asshole(my personal favorite)  but really he's a sweetheart trying to protect his sister. I enjoyed this book so much because it was unique and the love between Cole and Oakley is so real and it deals with situations that, believe it or not, happen all the time. It's realistic and fun and just...ugh... I loved it. The only complaint I have is the grammar, which was awful, but other than that it was fantastically written.
  Soooo I highly recommend this book to everyone, it's amazing.

Hi guys! So today I will be talking about a requested book review from an author. This book is called The Mine, and I have a lot to say about it (Kinda). Before we begin, I need to say that we were offered a copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review
 So, first things first, I'm not trying to offend the author or anyone who helped write this book, I am simply doing my job and my job is being honest about the books that I read.
  It was hard for me to get through the first chapter of this book. There were grammatical errors, and it reminded me of a Lifetime movie... yeah. The writing was just awful. It was corny and seemed rushed, but at the same time took forever to describe things or when the author was describing something he wrote it in a way that is hard to understand. The characters were really cliche "Oh I'm the guy that never gets any girls and I'm really lame. But my best friend is a player and super awesome". And... I mean, that is a classic combo, but it's only good when written correctly... and the dialogue was terrible:
News caster: "All of the planets are aligning tonight causing blah blah blah"
Lame Friend: "Wow. I hope nothing weird happens."
    That is an actual part from the book. When I read it I rolled my eyes. I mean, come on! Have some originality! It seemed like the book someone who wants to take up a hobby or got fired from their job would write because they want to "Find themselves" or "I think I could do this. Why not?". Also, it felt like a first draft that the author or editor was too tired to bother fixing so they just said "Whatever, just publish it".
   This book has 70 chapters! Now, guys, I am all about long books, my goodness, I love them! But when it comes to a book like this it should have 45 max. That's why you edit it. You get rid of all the extra stuff you put a few chapters together that didn't need to be separated. That's another thing! As I was reading the chapters they ended when they could have just gone on, instead of starting a new chapter.
    The Mine has potential to be a great Sci-Fi novel, it just needs some TLC. I got through six chapters of the novel, I gave it a try, but the writing was poor and the plot was flimsy. Again, it has potential, but it needs A LOT of work, editing, and character development. Mr. John, I hope you take this as constructive criticism and use it to grow as a writer. Please don't let this one mishap end your career as an author. I might have been tough on you but I am just being honest and I believe that this review can help you if you have the right mindset about it. I know that you probably don't want to give up on The Mine because every writer holds their work dear to their heart. Thank you for your time and asking us to review your book. We sincerely appreciate it.

Okay, so today I'm reviewing Let Love In which is a romance novel. To be honest I was in the mood for a romance novel so I got this one for free on iBooks. Its the first book in a pretty long series. As of this moment I am on book three (Let Love Shine). This book is good, its not out of this world or anything like that, but it will get you out of a reading slump(books like this often do). Its your basic romance novel. Its easy to read and fun. It starts off with a girl named Maddy who has lost her parents and ends up living with her aunt.... who then dies a while after that. After Maddy's aunt dies she lives with her best friend and her best friend's mother (Melanie and Momma) and from there her and Melanie move to college. There she makes friends and meets Reid. He seems like a douche at first but they soon begin to fall in love. After they have grown close and are in a very committed relationship Reid tells Maddy his secret. He lost his family too, but in a totally different way(I won't spoil it for you). They fall deeper and deeper in love, and then some things happen and I can't really tell you about it because I would ruin it for you. Anyway its a pretty good book and I would recommend it. Maybe not for people ages below like 14 because there are some parts that aren't THAT appropriate(*cough sex parts*cough*). All right that is all for today loves! Hey guys!! Today I will be reviewing Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. Oh my goodness the things I have to say about this book peoples. It. Is. AMAZING. The lead character Eleanor is so different from a lot of other girls that we read about. And its really cool because she knows she's different and she knows she's weird and in a way she is self conscious about it but on the other hand she completely owns it and doesn't care what people think. She is strong and powerful yet anxious and afraid. Now to Park. This dude, guys, THIS DUDE. He is quiet but once you get to know him you can't help but love him. He's also not afraid to stand up for what he believes in and knows how to deal with tough situations, but also has no clue what he is doing. I love how the book is always switching from one protagonist to the other. In most YA romance books each chapter has its own protagonist, but in this book it switches in the chapter. I think that this is wonderful because it really gives you insight on what they both are thinking about the situation at hand and how they feel about one another without you having to wait several chapters to find out about it. I have always wanted an author to do this and it just made me so happy and I can't get over how much I love it. Not to mention Rainbow Rowell is a master at creating relatable characters with so many flaws, which is the best because she's not trying to make her characters perfect she's trying to show that they are human and that other people deal with the same things that you do. Anyway back to the story itself. The way that Eleanor and Park slowly begin to talk and share comic books and music is adorable. And how it is described when they hold hands or kiss is just....ughhh. Its so innocent but also it conveys their feelings for each other and how powerful on touch can make them and how it melts their hearts(it melted my heart just by reading it). It felt like they matured as the book progressed. And that might just be me but when you get deeper into it its like they all of the sudden grew up and its kinda really awesome. Okay so that was my review for today. I STRONGLY recommend this book I love love love looooooovveee it. Please read it. For you're own sake.  Hi people! So today I will be reviewing Outspoken, a kind of YA romance. This book is simple and cute. I kinda really love it for its simplicity, its the book that you read to get yourself out of a reading slump and end up loving it and wanting more(I may or may not be speaking from personal experience). The lead character is extremely relatable, and really shows how difficult it can be for some people to speak their minds in fear of others not wanting to be around them because of it. I can't really say a lot about this character/book except that its development is amazing and is a very quick read for when you're in the mood for a cute romance. Anyway loves, this book is great and I highly recommend it! That is all for now, sorry for how short this review is, I promise there will be better ones in the future! Hey guys! So I know I haven't posted in a while and I'm sorry, but I've been really busy lately. Please forgive me. Today I will be reviewing The Sisters Grimm, which is a nine part series. I will not be reviewing all of the books individually, but if you would like me to, just leave a comment. If I get enough I will review each book separately.

 So this series is the first that I ever read, I fell in love with it and it is what began my love affair with books. It is said that this series is meant for children, and I did read it when I was very young. But I believe anyone could read it. These books are filled with action, mystery, crime, fairytales, romance, and not to mention the plot twist at the end of the series is extremely shocking. I was not expecting it at all, and that's rare for me. Now, onto the characters I suppose. Sabrina is the oldest sister, she is stubborn, protective, and wants nothing but what she wants. She is a very well rounded character and her development throughout the series is  amazing. Her younger sister Daphne is the complete opposite of her, she is sweet, loving, caring, and believes in every fairytale imaginable. She grows so much, and reading it makes you feel like you're actually witnessing this little girl grow up. Their Grandmother is adorable, she is also pretty awesome and stands up for what she believes in. Just.. ughhhhh I love her. Now there are many other characters that I would like to talk about but I'm only going to talk about one more (if you would like me to talk about the others leave a comment!), and that is Puck. Puck is the king of pranksters, he is a trouble maker, and him and Sabrina obviously have a thing. He adds comic relief to the books, he's a character that, when all is said and done, you love. As his character develops he becomes more mature, while still maintaining his childish ways, and turns into a young man. I have to say he is one of my favorite characters. So yeah, this series is amazing! you should really check it out, I highly recommend it!

 Hey guys!!! Sorry I've been kinda M.I.A for the past few weeks, I've been really busy(who knew I had a life). Okay, so about this book... It maybe....sort of... might be my new favorite book. There are so many things going on, like, OH MY GOSH! Its about a boy and another boy, and the sister and the mom and the dad, oh gosh, the DAD! So many things are happening, it is so entertaining. As soon as I started reading it I was like "Yes yes yes yes yes yes yesssssss", because, for starters, the lead character, Cath, is super easy to relate to. I don't particularly identify with her, but I know many people like her, and I can tend to be introverted at times(lets be real though, I love da peoples). Now I'm not sure if other people thought this, but I love her roommate. Reagan's really intimidating and off putting at first, but once you get to know her you see that she is just a big softy with actual feelings(sorry to disappoint guys, but she sadly isn't a robot). And we can't forget about Levi! He's such a cutie pie, with his warm smile and glittery personality, I adore his character, you get to see so many different sides to him and its amazing! Now, onto Wren (Cath's twin sister), She seems like a normal preppy party girl, but she is sad, and angry...that is a character I like to see. The development of her character is gradual and slow but I love seeing how much she matured, while still keeping her childish ways. And, last, but most definitely not least, their father. He's been through a lot, he has mental issues, and is extremely sad, but he remains happy, and keeps trying his hardest. In the middle of the book he seems to quit, but then he goes through some more stuff and realizes that he doesn't want to be bad anymore, so he stops. He is by far one of my favorite characters in this book. This novel is funny, sad, happy, cute, romantic, and, not to mention, has drama; its the best. I highly recommend this book to everyone in the universe.

    This book is so incredibly good. It is the first YA romance that I've read and I am glad that it was because it was one of the bests books that I have read. It's not just about the couple or the main character or the boy's family. All the different aspects of the book are in perfect sync and harmony. The two families are complete and utter polar opposites.The mother hates the other family(the Garret's) and is always talking about how awful they are, despite the fact that she'd never even met them. Let's be honest here guys, if you've read this book, you hate the mother. I really hated the mother, she annoyed the crap out of me, (not to mention her crap southern talking a**hole of a boyfriend.) but in the end her character development was amazing. She admitted that she was wrong and apologized, as well as made up for what she did in some ways. Okay, enough about the mother, onto the main character and her lover boy (Hehe all I think of is Dirty Dancing when I say that).  The lead character, Samantha, grows up constantly looking out her window at the Garret's house. She's rich (duh) and she has a seemingly normal life, perfect grades, good job, best friend.... Then she meets Jase Garret, and it makes her whole life different in an amazing and wonderful way. Jase has a family of eight compared to Samantha's family of two (a sister and a mom). They are so different yet so alike and together they are perfect. And guys!!! This YA romance has A PLOT TWIST!!!! Actually it has several! I told you it wasn't just a regular romance novel. It is so well written, smooth and easy, there was not a moment that I was bored. Sure I always wanted more of Jase, but still. And of course my last point is gonna be about Tim, I adore him. At first you don't really like him but his character's growth is incredible and you end up loving him. He is by far one of my favorite characters in the book, along with George. He does have a twin sister that is/was Samantha's best friend, but lets not talk about her (you who have read the book understand what I'm talking about.). This book is a favorite of mine and I strongly recommend it. You'll love it for sure.

Book Review: The Lightning Thief: book One of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series (Rick Riordan)

Percy Jackson is a good kid, but he can't seem to focus on his schoolwork or control his temper. And lately, being away at boarding school is only getting worse—Percy could have sworn his pre-algebra teacher turned into a monster and tried to kill him. When Percy's mom finds out, she knows it's time that he knew the truth about where he came from, and that he go to the one place he'll be safe. She sends Percy to Camp Half Blood, a summer camp for demigods (on Long Island), where he learns that the father he never knew is Poseidon, God of the Sea. Soon a mystery unfolds and together with his friends—one a satyr and the other the demigod daughter of Athena—Percy sets out on a quest across the United States to reach the gates of the Underworld (located in a recording studio in Hollywood) and prevent a catastrophic war between the gods.

      Ladies and Gentlemen, it is time that I review this series because it is the one that got me into reading, as well as one of my favorite hobbies, Greek mythology. Yes, I am a nerd. Haven't we already established that? None the less, I hold this series near and dear to my heart. Anyway, onto the review, my friends.

    This book starts off with a troubled 12 year old kid named Percy Jackson-who lives in New York with his mom- and his best friend Grover. He is constantly going in and out of schools for many different reasons, and never feels like he truly belongs. Until one day, when he has to kill his math teacher because she is really a monster(aren't all math teachers?). A while after that he finds out that his Greek Mythology teacher is Chiron(go figure), and also that his best friend is really a satyr...Yeah. I love this book, oh my gosh. He, his mother and Grover are chased by the Minotaur. in the chase Percy kills the beast and then passes out(*swoon* what a manly man.We all end up having a crush on him in the end). He wakes up in Camp Half-Blood, a camp for demigods, and meets Annabeth Chase(*wiggles eyebrows*), along with many others. I'm not going to tell you all the details, but some pretty awesome stuff goes down. Percy ends up going on a quest. He kills like ten thousand monsters, goes to the Underworld and talks to Hates, kills Medusa, and defeats Ares. You know, just the everyday norm. He's a hero, and this review probably doesn't do the book that much justice. But trust me its amazing, it says it for kids, but lets be honest, its for all ages.
 
  Okay, so that was my first review. Not bad, eh? Make sure you guys read my next review of Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters. Hopefully my reviews get better as I do more.
